Why did you decide to become a dentist?

Dr. Lee showing patient x-rays in consultation room

Dr. Lee actually began her medical career as a nurse, but eventually, she found herself drawn to dentistry. She says that’s because when you improve someone’s teeth, you can see the results right away, and patients quickly enjoy better health as well as a more confident appearance. Nothing makes her happier than the look on a patient’s face when they see their new smile in the mirror for the first time. She’s been in the profession for more than 12 years and looks forward to many more decades!

Where did you study dentistry?

Texas A&M dental school building

Dr. Lee attended Sahm Yook University in South Korea before making her way to the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of North Texas. After getting her bachelor’s degree, she attended the Baylor College of Dentistry to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Since then, she has completed numerous advanced training courses focused on orthodontics (including Fastbraces and Invisalign) as well as dental implants. She also maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association as well as the Texas Dental Association to help her stay up-to-date on all the newest technology and techniques in the field.
